Parent Teacher Conference Word Template
I chose to use the parent conference
record template. I chose this because I think it is such a good idea to keep
record of every interaction with the parents. This is a simple page you can
insert into the students file to keep on hand in case you need to access it immediately.
Sometimes the computer doesn’t allow for immediate access to files you need
right away and it also sometimes makes for an uncomfortable meeting if you are
taking notes on the computer while talking to the parent.
I modified the template by simply
typing into the blank spaces. I added the names and content pretty easily. I
would simply print this document without modifying it online when I am having a
parent teacher conference. If you choose to use this with text instead of print
it would work out the same, however, when you are done typing your notes you will
need to print it for the parent to sign.
I would use this for all of my
students when having a parent teacher conference. It is a more organized way to
keep notes on everything that was discussed. Keeping track of what was said to
parents is key in keeping a good relationship with them as well as backing
yourself up with data if a problem arises.

ReplyDeleteI love this template! Parent confereces are so important and having this template would be so helpful! It will keep me on track and help me remeber everything I need to talk about with that parent. Sometimes I forget so having a template to write it down on would be great! This would also help with my organization, which is really important to me!
ReplyDeleteI love this template! I have worked in childcare centers that could have really used something like this. I think it is very crucial that we keep track of every interaction that we have with any parent or guardian. Another idea is to print a copy for the conference and then you could go back after the conference and fill in the information on the computer, then you would always have a back up copy. Great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThis template can be very useful for all of us future educators. We know that parents, especially in elementary school, are sometimes curious on how schooling is. When doing a conference, I cannot think of a better template than this one. It is simple, straight to the point and the room to go more into details is there. ReplyDeleteI love this. When I work back home at my old job we have something similar to this and it is great. Parents love to know how their kids are doing and this makes it easier to tell them and this way they also have it in writing.
